Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Spiegelau Authentis Collection Burgundy Wine Glasses, Set of 6

Customer Review: Large, luscious, thin
Summary: 5 Stars

How can you go wrong? I love these glasses. Bought them as a gift and decided to keep them! Great quality like Riedel, but at a fraction of the cost. Here's to you!

Customer Review: Art Glass
Summary: 5 Stars

These are my all time favorite wine glasses. I reach for them fist, especially with an extra good bottle of wine. The price is right and much less than other brands of similar quality. They are light weight and the shape is perfect for swirling. Buy these, you won't be disappointed.

Customer Review: too easily broken
Summary: 1 Stars

I have a habit of wiping the edge of my wine glass during dinner. When I wiped one of these with the edge of a soft napkin, the glass broke.

Customer Review: Wonderful wine glasses!
Summary: 4 Stars

I highly recommend the Spiegelau Authentis line for value and beauty. These glasses truly do enhance the experience of the wine and are priced so that you can enjoy them every day. While a delicate and beautiful showcase for wine, they are also sturdy enough to stand up to being used (and washed!) on a regular basis. If you are looking to amp up you wine drinking experience, give these a try.

Customer Review: excellent deal, excellent product
Summary: 5 Stars

The Authentis collection easily rivals the Riedel Vinum collection, with which it competes. Why? Price. You don't need me to tell you. Even without the "Buy the Bordeaux, get the Burgundy free" promotion {of which I took advantage by buying two sets for a total of 24 stems - for a pittance), this is still a superb deal. Also, quality. Yes, the Riedel is a bit more delicate, but be careful how you handle them. The Spiegelau is unquestionably more resistant to water temperature, ham-handed handling, and just unexpected clinks and clanks. And there is absolutely no difference in the experience of your favorite Pinot Noir or Cabernet - in fact the more narrow mouths of the Spiegelau even enhance and concentrate the bouquet more than the Riedel.I own both and for everday use, Spiegelau is, without a doubt, your best bet, financially and enologically.
